The second teaching-training meeting of the national women’s team took place during the November international pause

In the period from November 5 to 11, Vadym Radchenko’s team trained again in the town of Bohuslav in the arena Liodohrai. There were classes on general physical training and two-time training sessions lasted one and a half hour each.

25 players took part in the second training session, most of them represent the national championship, among them are:

goalkeepers: Nataliia Kozachuk (ZHKK Poprad, Slovakia), Viktoriia Tkachenko (Kozhytse, Poland), Iryna Zaichenko;

defenders: Olena Vansovych, Kateryna Seredenko, Vladlena Tarasova, Nadiia Makarenko (are all from Panthera), Victoriia Denysenko, Maryna Kobchuk, Mariia Hromova, Maryna Kryvoruchko, Tetiana Tkachenko (all are from Ukrainochka), Victoriia Lalomova;

strikers: Elen Alipova, Elizabeth Alipova, Khrystyna Andrukh, Alik Hadliia, Uiliia Dobrovolska, Victoriia Tsenova, Dariia Tsimirenko (are all from Ukrainochka), Diana Kovtun, Inna Kozub, Vladyslav Skashchuk, Tatiana Slashchova (are all from Panthera), Olena Tkachuk (no club).

Olha Ievleva, who was injured in the match of the first round at the National Championship, was also invited to the meeting.

The captain of the team, Diana Kovtun, said that all players improved their results compared to the first meeting, working actively in clubs and at meetings. It was also mentioned by the coaches.

“The team has an extraordinary desire. We all go to one goal. We all understand why we came here.”

Let’s remind that the first official tournament of the Ukrainian national women’s ice hockey team will be qualified for the 2019 World Championship in the IIS Division, which will take place on January 16-23 next year in Cape Town (South Africa). In addition to the local team, the rivals of the Ukrainian women will be the teams from Bulgaria, Hong Kong and Belgium.
