Three competitors from Bohuslav took part in the competitions, who are Iuliana Vilhan (girls 2007-2008 yrs. of birth), Anna Zaporizhska (girls 2008-2009 yrs. of birth), Maryna Feldi (girls 2007-2008 yrs. of birth). All pupils from Liodohrai did well.  Anna Zaporizhska has won the 2nd place in her category.

Olha Kurovska, who is a figure skating coach andan organizer of the competition told us:

“For this time, All-Ukrainian competitions have the International status. Among the guests of a wonderful Bohuslav town there are 13 figure skaters from Moldova, Kyshyniv city. There are both figure skating athletes and amateurs from different Ukrainian towns and cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhia, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kropyvnytskyi, Kremenchuk, Poltava, Bila Tserkva, Odesa, Bohuslav.

We invited technical specialists and judges of international and national categories, so that even the smallest participants of the competition were judged at the highest professional level. In particular, Dmytro Dmytrenko, an international class judge, and Oksana Dolhopolova is a judge of the national category, who assessed the Ukrainian Championships, stages of the Ukrainian Cup.

The skating level was different, on the first day there were the smallest children from three years old, on the second day there were sportsmen who were engaged in sports schools and took part at the national championships.

Such competitions have been organized since 2015. In the season there are two starts, and usually the first is in Bohuslav, the second is in Kyiv in May. It is easy and comfortable to organize competitions in Bohuslav. A skating rink and training facilities are great. And as a result, championships have been taken place at a high level.

I want to thank 240 participants for participating in the competition. It inspires us, as organizers to work harder in the future, move forward and reach international levels.

So, such sporting events are very important nowadays, they promote the development of sport in Ukraine, and for children such competitions are a real holiday. It’s nice to see their enthusiastic eyes. ”

Defining the role and results of the competitions, a consultant of the Bohuslav Figure Skating School Halyna Vladyslavivna Kukhar (Grzhybovska), Master of Sports, Honored Coach of Ukraine, told us: “Any competition is always good for young athletes. This is always a certain step, a stage in the life of any child. Competition is better than training, it makes them do all the best. These competitions are normal sports life. They are what we are preparing for.

For our girls, they showed better results at the training sessions, better skating. Therefore, these competitions are important as a means to achieve competitive experience.

Children definitely need sports. Children need to be accustomed to work, to learn discipline, learn to overcome themselves, these skills will be valuable for them also in ordinary life. Sport is a necessary component of life! ”

Oleksandra Horova, who is a coach of the Bohuslav Figure Skating School assessed the performances of the Liodohrai’s pupils told us: “Our girls acted in categories A, single figure skating. Even if the level of performance is high there is always something to achieve for. We have a prize-winning place and we are very happy about it. Anna Zaporizhska has got a Silver medal among girls 2008-2009 yrs. of birth. She danced and skated perfectly and did everything she could, showed herself well. Although she had health problems and this season, these competitions were her first start.

Among girls 2007-2008 yrs. of birth, Iuliana Vilhan was on the 5th place, Maryna Feldi was on the 8th place.

Unfortunately, parents from Bohuslav do not show such activity as in big cities as Kyiv. We, as coaches, want to involve more children to our school. There is a high level of training and excellent facilities in Bohuslav. It is a place, where we can train up champions!

But Great Sports always begins with the fact that we begin to monitor our health. Therefore, we invite all parents to bring children to Liodohrai. We will teach everybody! And also the boys. I heard a lot from the parents that figure skating is a sport for girls. I do not agree absolutely. Now men are at the world’s top figure skating. It’s interesting to watch everyone. Today in the world, male figure skating is developing faster than female one.”

Congratulate Anna Zaporizhska, who has won the 2nd place!

We wish young figure skaters to be confident and successful and winners of future competitions!

And who are interested in, we invite again on April 4th-5th-6th to Liodohrai, where the 5th stage, the final round of the All-Ukrainian competitions for young figure skaters will take place.
